If there’s one area of the UFWC website that’s been neglected recently it’s the Hall of Fame – a celebration of some of the greatest players ever to grace the Unofficial Football World Championships. And we’re going to do something about it, by relaunching it.
All inductees will get a page on the website featuring details of their UFWC achievements, plus their own UFWC Hall of Fame ‘sticker’ (collect ’em all!). We’ll start, over the next few weeks, by adding the players who had already been inducted into the old HOF, plus some key new faces, to make up an initial 12-man Hall of Fame. After that, we’ll start adding new players on a regular basis.
Got an idea for someone who should be inducted? We welcome your nominations. Just drop us a line and tell us who you think should be added and why. We’re currently looking for writers, too, so also drop us a line if you’d like to write a HOF entry. You can contact us via email.
The UFWC Hall of Fame will relaunch from Friday. Fittingly, we think, the first player to be inducted into the new Hall of Fame will be CW Alcock, the pioneer who kick-started international football and the UFWC.
