The CW Alcock CupWhen the Netherlands and Scotland clash in Saturday's huge UFWC title match they will, for the first time, be playing for a UFWC trophy! The brand new UFWC trophy is the CW Alcock Cup, named after the football pioneer and the instigator of international football (and therefore inadvertent founder of the UFWC). The trophy will be sent to the federation that wins Saturday's match - or at least an image of it will be... Like the UFWC itself, the CW Alcock Cup is virtual, existing within the confines of the world wide web. Read more about the trophy, and about CW Alcock, here. Saturday's game will also be the first UFWC title match to be presided over by our new mascot. The little dinosaur will be officially named in advance of the match. So far, suggested names include Hughie, Champ, Uffy, Unsworth... If you have an idea or a preference, leave a comment. And check back on Friday to see the winning name, and a preview of the big match.
