Colombia 0-2 Chile

22 June 2016 Soldier Field, Chicago Copa America Centenario Semi Finals Scorers: Aranguiz, Fuenzalida Chile overcame Colombia and a big thunderstorm to retain the UFWC title and reach the Copa America final. The Unofficial Football World Champions will play Argentina on Sunday, 26 June, in a repeat of last year's Copa final, who was won by Chile on penalties. Chile, without the suspended Arturo Vidal and injured Marcelo Diaz, dominated the early stages. Charles Aranguiz scored with a close-range volley in the seventh minute, and Jose Fuenzalida added a second from a rebound in the eleventh minute. By half-time the players were virtually swimming in rainwater, and spectators were advised to seek shelter from the thunderstorm. After a lengthy two-hour delay, the match eventually resumed. Colombia forced Claudio Bravo into several good saves, but any chance they had of getting back into the match disappeared when Carlos Sanchez was sent off for a second bookable offence.   Argentina beat hosts the USA 4-0 to reach the final. They are the highest-ranked UFWC side in the Copa tournament. With both Chile and Argentina in excellent form, the final will be much anticipated. The final will be played on Sunday, 26 June at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. You can keep up to date with all things UFWC by following us on Twitter or Facebook.
