Czech Republic 5-1 Canada

Teplice, 15/11/03 The Czech Republic took the UFWC title while storming their way to Euro 2004. The unbeaten Czechs topped their Qualifying Group, winning seven out of eight matches, including a 3-1 victory over former holders the Netherlands. With a side including Pavel Nedved of Juventus, Tomas Rosicky and Jan Koller of Borussia Dortmund, and Karel Poborsky of Sparta Prague, the Czechs retained the UFWC title with this impressive victory. Marek Jankulovski scored the first, netting a 26th-minute penalty after a foul on Jan Koller. Marek Heinz (49 minutes) scored the second, before Karel Poborsky (55), playing his 90th international match, added a third. Substitute Libor Sionko scored in the 63rd minute, and Rudolf Skacel made it 5-0 with eight minutes left to play. Tomasz Radzinski grabbed a consolation goal for Canada in the final minute.
