As again reigning Unofficial Champions the Elftal of course started into the European Qualifiers duel versus Estonia as huge favorite. It was the first ever UFWC match in Tallinn. The result also set the path forward in who's hands the UFWC title will be at the end of the year: it will remain in Europe. To make it quite short: Netherlands scored 4 goals, Estonia 0. The first half the estonian squad managed to stay with 1 goal down keeping some hopes up for the 2nd part of the match. But after the break the Netherlands showed their class and left no chance to Estonia to score their first ever UFWC goal. But should we maybe still call the result a success for both teams? Netherlands now have 54 UFWC wins on their account - now hunting Argentina sitting on 3rd place in the all time ranking with 62 wins. Looking at the upcoming matches in 2019 some people are expecting that the Netherlands might have good chances to collect a good number of UFWC wins - but let's see. And for Estonia? Why calling it successful? As they did receive 8 goals versus Germany in their first UFWC match just recently, this number was reduced to 4 only - a good sign or still some desperate feeling with a overall score of 0:12 goals after 2 UFWC matches? If the Netherlands will keep the title until November Estonia will have another chance to polish their UFWC statistics...
