Zambia 0-0 Angola (Angola win 5-4 on pens)

Lusaka, 20/11/04 Reigning UFWC Champions Angola won the COSAFA Castle Cup with a penalty shoot out victory in this final against Zambia. There were no goals in regulation time, although both sides had clear-cut scoring chances. So the final was decided on penalties, and Zambia's star player and technical director Kalusha Bwalya was the unlucky man who missed his kick, giving Angola a 5-4 victory. Angry Zambian fans rioted after the match in scenes which may have damaging implications for their national side. Angola now keep the COSAFA Cup trophy permanently, having completed a hat-trick of wins, after previously winning it in 1999 and 2001. The World Cup Qualifiers get underway again in March, and Angola will take on Zimbabwe. Angola top group 4 by one point ahead of Nigeria, but after this game there are still 14 matches to go in the long hard journey to Germany 2006.
