The year began with Georgia holding the UFWC title. They defeated Turkey 1-0 in February, but then lost the title to Scotland in March, via a 2-1 defeat. All-time champions Scotland only held the current title for four days, losing 2-0 to Italy, who became undisputed Official and Unofficial Football World Champions. Italy beat the Faroe Islands 2-1 and Lithuania 2-0 in June, but then lost 3-1 to Hungary in August.
In September Hungary defeated Bosnia-Herzegovinia 1-0 before losing 3-0 to Turkey. It was Turkey’s first ever UFWC title win. In November Greece thrashed Malta 5-0 and then beat Hungary 2-1. 2007 ended with Greece holding the Unofficial Football World Championships title.
